Thank you for visiting Liya’s House, a place for men and women experiencing housing hardship. We house residents in beautiful, well-maintained homes where they can feel safe and accepted. We utilize a shared housing model; residents share common areas, but sleeping arrangements are limited to two persons per room. We advocate self-sufficiency and require our residents to complete some minimal chores and to follow all house rules, which we have identified as essential practices that add structure and promote independence.

Founder’s Message

Shawn is the founder and a serving  board member  for the Liyas House Foundation. A foundation that seeks to serve its community with the highest degree of excellence and compassion. Shawn served in the United States Army from 2009 – 2016, he received a BSc in cybersecurity and an MSc in Digital forensics. His persuasion to help others is fueled by the desire to end veteran homelessness and to alleviate the post-incarceration difficulties for persons trying to find housing. He wants to provide people with more than just housing but wants them to undergo a transformative life experience so they can gain back the trust of their families and community.
